My book is called The Desperate journey it is a good book it has 8 chapters. I was suppose to do it in a week from Friday to the next friday. But i finished it last night!. It is about a girl called Kirsty and a boy called Davie at first live in Cumallie and then there house gets burnt down and they move to Glasgow they get treated very badly and the children have to work in the cotton mills. Then they get a letter from the dads brother and it says to go to Canada because there is better work and the children don't need to work in the cotton mills anymore so the go on a ship to Canada and when they get there there is a war the dad gets hurt but survives and there enemies don't attack them any more and the live happily ever after The End
My Favorite character in the book is the indian chef Peguis.
